Blog 3: The Hardest Road Always Leads Somewhere Worth Reaching
If there’s one thing the last few years have taught me, it’s this: growth never happens in the comfortable moments. It happens in the chaos, the uncertainty, the “I don’t know how I’m going to do this” phases of life.
I’ve learned that the hardest roads are often the ones that shape you the most.
When I published my first book, I had no idea what I was doing. I was just a kid with a notebook, a pen, and a head full of ideas. And even when I doubted myself, I kept writing. When people told me it wouldn’t go anywhere, I still trusted the process. And today, looking back, that stubbornness became my strength.
But something happened recently that really made everything hit me:
Tomorrow, I’ll be meeting the Mayor of Mississauga.
Just writing that feels unreal.
I think back to the version of me who stayed up late writing chapters, editing lines over and over, wondering if anyone would ever even read my work. And now… moments like this remind me just how far I’ve actually come. It made me realize how amazing it all feels when your hard work finally starts to speak for itself. When life starts giving back a little piece of everything you put in.
But this post isn’t about accomplishments—it’s about the journey behind them.
The late nights.
The self-doubt.
The small wins no one sees.
And the courage it takes to start again even when life feels heavy.
Over the past three years, I've learned something important: you don’t need the perfect moment to take your next step. You just need to start. Whether it’s writing, fitness, school, a new hobby, or trying to build the life you imagine, you won’t feel ready. No one ever really does.
But the moment you push yourself—even a little—things start to change.
Life isn’t about always having momentum. It’s about learning to move again when momentum is gone. It’s about rebuilding when you feel broken. It’s about choosing discipline when motivation fades. And honestly… it’s about believing in yourself before anyone else does.
If you’re reading this, here’s something I want you to take with you today:
You are not behind.
You are not late.
You are exactly where you need to be to start the next chapter.
Don’t wait for “someday.”
Don’t wait for everything to align.
Don’t wait until someone gives you a sign.
You are the sign.
Trust your path, trust your timing, and trust that even the smallest steps will eventually lead you somewhere beautiful.
I’m still learning, still growing, still figuring things out day by day. But moments like tomorrow—moments where it all comes full circle—show me that every chapter of your story matters, even the messy ones.
So keep going.
Keep building.
Keep believing.
Your future self will thank you for not giving up.
